Jessica Groome (b. 1985, Vancouver CA) is a visual artist currently based in Berlin DE. She holds a BFA from Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design (2007) and an MFA from the University of Guelph (2011). Her work has been recently exhibited at the Vancouver Art Gallery (Vancouver CA), gr_und (Berlin DE) and Erin Stump Projects (Toronto CA). Since 2015, Groome and Ashleigh Bartlett have maintained a long-distance practice rooted in friendship, which manifests as their collaborative alter-ego CIRCLES & WIGS. In 2011 Groome was named both the winner of the Joseph Plaskett Award (CA) and a semi-finalist for the RBC Painting Competition (CA).
